NextPrivacy Policy
Next keeps projects and next steps on your device. There is no Next account, proprietary server or advertising. Dictation is recognised on-device; backups are shared only when you choose to do so.

2. Projects, progress and preferences
Next stores project titles you type or dictate, the steps derived from them, completion status, archived projects and a local progress overview. It also stores your language, preferred step size and tone, selected everyday difficulties, and reminder and Lock Screen preferences. The progress log contains at most the last 120 completed steps and their dates.
Suggestions are created on your device using built-in rules and templates. Your content is not sent to an AI provider or a proprietary server for this purpose. There is no account registration, advertising profile or analytics SDK.
3. Microphone and speech recognition
Dictation requires your device’s microphone and speech-recognition permissions. Recognition runs exclusively on the device. If on-device recognition is unavailable for your language, Next does not fall back to server-based recognition; you can type instead.
Next does not create an audio recording file. Recognised text is shown for you to use and is stored like other project input when you accept it. You can revoke these permissions in system settings at any time.
4. Reminders, widgets and Lock Screen
After you enable reminders and grant system permission, Next schedules local daily notifications. Their text does not include project titles. No push address is sent to a Next server for this purpose.
A widget you add can display your project title, next step and progress. The required data is placed in storage shared locally between the app and its widget. The Lock Screen Live Activity is disabled by default and shows this content only after you enable it. People looking at your device may be able to read content on its Home Screen or Lock Screen.
5. Export, import and recipients
You can export projects, progress and preferences as a JSON backup or import a backup you select. When exporting, Next passes the file to the location or service you choose. The file contains your content in readable form; the selected service may process it under its own terms. Next does not upload this backup automatically.
A temporary copy is created for the iOS share sheet and removed when the sheet completes. If sharing is unavailable, a backup may remain in the app’s documents storage. After confirmation, imported data replaces your existing projects and preferences.
6. Legal bases
Processing needed to provide the project management, progress display, import and export functions you request is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Optional speech and notification functions use your permission; where data-protection consent is required, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR applies. You can disable these functions or revoke system permissions for future use. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
7. Retention, backups and deletion
Projects and preferences remain stored locally until you change or remove them. You can delete individual projects in the app; archiving retains them. Deleting a project does not automatically remove previously counted completions from the progress overview. If saved data is damaged, Next may retain an additional local copy of that damaged data for recovery.
Next does not provide its own cloud synchronisation. Device backups depend on your system settings. Removing the app is separate from deleting such backups, exported files and any shared widget data that may remain. Delete copies you create from their respective storage locations. We do not receive your local project content and therefore cannot remotely remove those copies.
8. Apple and other services you choose
Apple processes data under its own terms when you obtain the app or use system services you enable. Apps or cloud-storage services you select for export may also receive data. Next has no proprietary service that transfers project data abroad. The privacy information of external storage or sharing services applies when you choose to use them.
9. Support and contact
If you contact us, we receive your email address, message and any files you attach. Only send information needed for your request. We use it to respond: under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual matters, otherwise under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
Our mailbox uses iCloud Mail, provided by Apple Distribution International Ltd., Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland. Apple processes messages and technical connection data. For Apple’s processing, possible transfers outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and the applicable safeguards, see Apple’s privacy policy. A copy of the standard contractual clauses described there can be requested from Apple.
We delete support correspondence when the matter is resolved and no legal retention requirement or specific reason, such as resolving outstanding claims, requires further storage. Where retention is required, further use is limited to that purpose.
10. Your rights and consent
Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability (Articles 15–20 GDPR). You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation (Article 21 GDPR).
You may withdraw consent at any time for the future by disabling the relevant feature or revoking its permission in system settings. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal. Optional access is voluntary; refusing it may prevent or limit the corresponding feature. Information needed for a requested app feature is used for that feature; there is no legal obligation to provide it.
Use the controls described above to manage data on your device and in your Apple account. We cannot remotely access or erase that data. For information you have sent us, including support emails, or for help, contact norvia_noah@icloud.com.
You may complain to a data protection authority (Article 77 GDPR), including the authority where you live. Our competent authority is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65189 Wiesbaden, Germany.
11. Website and changes
When you open this page or another Norvia web page, the website privacy policy (German) also applies, particularly to hosting and connection data. We update this app policy when the described features or processing change. The date above identifies this version.
